As you can see 1 or 2 lol I dont own them all now, but its certainly an obsession. Ive got a 1275 GT in my garage in Mildenhall which is immaculate, but thats sitting in a bubble enclosure and will be my pension fund in 30 years time Im basically after a mini as I used to have loads. The look im going for is probably very old fashioned now, but something I want to redo. Black plastic arches, 10" White Weller wheels, British racing green with Union Jack roof and center exit exhaust. Oh and Mountney steering wheel (Or Paddy Hopkirk), and Wooden dashboard. Mg Metro seats and erm thats about it. Tasteless I know, just reliving my youth

Im actually watching that one. The only thing putting me off is the fact its a cat c writeoff. They have not worked it out yet, but they cant MOT it until the car goes upto Croydon to be tested once the repair work has taken place. As such If they have MOT'd it, it will not be valid. Im still interested though. Ive got about £500 to spend on a project. Dont really care about MOT/Tax.

Cat C not a problem, as long as the engine and chassis numbers match the log book, i.e. its not a ringer
If you want some more info on cat c speak to Faz (Tangoman)at Brighton mini club as he put both his and his wifes through the test Hope this helps

Ive now sourced a mini It was an 850, but is now currently running a 1275 Metro unit with a headgasket gone ;D. I was considering modifying a diesel unit to fit, but im now contemplating putting its original 850cc back in it as I imagine it would be very economical??? So then all ive got to do is to work out how to get it down (Non runner and car in Stoke on Trent : , and join up the club and hopefully meet you all

Join the club first, then hire the club trailer to get the car back!

Hmmm went up to look at the car and it was far from advertised. Headgasket was gone, but bottom end was knocking badly too, gearbox was whining and front and rear subframes needed replacement. Bodywork looked good, but the car was full of filler. Resprayed about 2 years ago without proper prep and everything coming through. I wouldnt of minded, but it was also £600 which was far too much money for it. The girl that owned it didnt think there anything was wrong with it other than the overheating and wouldnt budge on price.
