Just joined the group!! My name is Alastair
I have a 1966 Morris Mini Moke, and hoping to start restoration in time for the london to Brighton in May 08!!
I know a couple of Mini owners on this very site.

Hahah thanks! Urrm im not sure what u mean buy back to basics?? if your talking about restoring the moke back to its original parts as much as possible, then yes i am.!

Yep, basics as in original as a moke gets. No fancy hard top or carpets ;D Plenty of help available if your ever in need.

Thankyou so much, all help appreciated greatly!!!! It doesnt have the original 849 Engine, but im not to woried about that as i belive sitting in it now, is a 1275GT instead ;D ;D ;D

Dont think a 1275 where a 850 once lived is a problem either. Reckon there to slow for modern traffic . But then I do have a 1960 saloon with a 1340 ;D

oooohhh NICE!!!! Definitly going to get it re-sprayed back to BMC Spruce green (it was resprayed a sandy colour 20 years ago)!!!

the best of the range of moke colours! all two of them! do you have the moke restoration book? it's very good, has drawings for all the panels in it incase you need to make any! did you find it locally?
