is condition considered for joining?

Hi.

I would love to join the club. could someone tell me if your mini has to be in top shape to join in? i have had several minis in the passed(late80's/early 90's),one may be in the club not certain(yellow,was orange traveller,T? reg BUF 1st part of reg)
I have been to Crawley today to pick up my new baby,hes a black Mary Quant designer(who i have named humbug) I had forgotten how much fun they are to drive,he behaved like true gentlemen. Hes not got all the original features,has chrome replacement bumpers etc,chequered roof,steering wheel & more but still has the in your face stripe seats!! Has been on the london to brighton run a few times im told. Does need some work,usual bits plus someone hit him in a car park down left side which is a shame but i fell in love with him so that was that!
Im not allowed to have him yet,he is my xmas present from my partner,got to wait,not fair!!!! :'( can go & do a few bits to him though so not too bad i suppose?! If someone could give me a few details i would be very grateful, nicky

Firstly... No condition or ownership is not considered for joining anyone can join with or without a car and some of the cars we have in club are probably worse than what you describe.

Perhaps i'll see you at a meet some time.

Personaaly i think if your worried about the condition if your mini joining the/a club is the best thing you can do as its the best place to get advice help and sometimes parts too.

and an excuse for a knees up never goes amiss either ;D

Hi You are meore than welcome to join up, no matter what condition ur car is in, im the chairman and i normally drive the wreck of the club.

You have just missed our monthly meet, but you are more than welcome to come along to our xmas do on the 24th, if you do decide to come along, have a look at the thread and see what plate of food you will bring hehe.

next meet is in december, 2nd monday of the month.

if you piddled in the door opening of a bini it will not go all over your shoes as it would through the holes in the floor of the chinese made metal mpi .
Dont want to get your feet to near anything injected just in case the oil poors out the holes in the diff casings .

ac dodd loves injected minis with there broken gearboxes..

PS : to all of those viewing who live in Fairlight Avenue in Telscombe cliffs I do apologise for the 100yard oil slick down your road . Sorry but my injected mini diff escaped threw the gearbox .

Thanks for the great welcome,looking forward to joining in! Great knowing people willing to help. Will send my form in soon. As you can see iv worked the pics thing out. I took this after bringing him home yesterday. Hope to meet everyone soon,will look into xmas party date.
